Video games log 001 (Garden Galaxy, Steam Next Fest)
Since most of my time outside of work/social stuff is spent playing video games (and sometimes drawing), I thought it could be nice to track what I play/finish on a weekly-or-so basis, as well as a quick review.
Even though it is the game I played every day, I will not mention Warframe every time, unless I'm doing something interesting, or in the case of new quests. I'm currently remodding frames that I don't use often, as some of them haven't been touched in years and need to get a new solid build.
What I finished
Garden Galaxy
Garden Galaxy is a sandbox game where little visitors come by and drop a coin that you can use to get new blocks/furniture/plants. It's a chill game to play, even tho my completionist side woke up when I got the dice.
Steam Next Fest
I haven't played a lot of demos this time due to work and some obligations - I tend to play around 20+ ever since I took interest in that event - but I liked what I tried! They're mostly cozy games, as I didn't have much time or energy last week to properly try out other genres. Here are my favorites :
Bugaboo Pocket
Tamagochi-like with bugs! The pixel art got me to try this demo, and I think I'll get the game at some point, I like having a game going in the background every now and then, and this one seems pretty good to me.
Wild Woods
A casual roguelike action game that you can play alone or with friends. You travel with your carriage and fight against waves of enemies during the night.
The demo showed a pretty simple gameplay with lovely visuals, and I think this could potentially be a great coop game to play with friends while chatting about stuff.
Wilmot Works It Out
Casual jigsaw game with our square buddy Wilmot, of Wilmot's Warehouse fame (that I'll have to play someday). It was a chill demo, and the art style is just chef's kiss
Call of Boba
Cute life sim game where you play as a penguin helping at a boba teashop.
I won't lie, the main character's design is the biggest reason why I tried this demo. Haven't played a lot but I know it's right up my alley after a long day at work. The art is really cute!
