Video games log 006 (Quite a bunch of games)

Hello hi it's been a while since one of those video games log, oops
I've been meaning to finish this one for about 2 months, but couldn't make myself to work on it, but if I want to make a log about the demos I played for the current Steam Next Fest, I better get this one out!
Maybe I could do something like once I finish about 5 games or so, then I have to write a log, just to avoid a drought of 3 months.

What I finished

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor
... Or tried to with the first one! The game isn't bad, but it had been 4 months that I had started it and couldn't really play more than 30min without feeling like I was wasting my time, sadly. The Nemesis concept is good, but gets repetitive pretty quick.
(Sometimes I do wonder if I'm not just done with AAA games and their time sink in general)
Anyway, since this one was part of my Alphabet challenge (I might make a post about it one day when I'll be done with it), I had to find another game and chose...

Mouthwashing
... Which was great!
Psychological horror happening in a freight spaceship. The game has a PS1 graphic style that serves the story and ambiance pretty well. I won't talk much more about it because people should discover it on their own. As someone who hates playing horror games, there was just one/two moments where I was a bit stressed, so it wasn't that bad, ahah.

Digseum
Little clicker game where you dig stuff for a museum. Quick and nice! I do recommend it.

(the) Gnorp Apologue
Another clicker game, quite a bit more difficult! There is actually a bit of strategy to have to balance out the different factions and maximize production.

Proverbs
Kind of a minesweeper based on the eponymous painting by Bruegel the Elder, you uncover parts of the painting one by one, and discover a proverb at the same time. Loved the concept!

Night in the Woods
After 7 years since I first started a play through, I have finally finished it! It certainly is a little gem. I forgot how much I enjoyed pretty much every character, and the story was nice. The two spin offs were a joy to play as well.

Oxenfree
Narrative point and click set on an island. It's a pretty good game, the banter between the characters was pretty nice most of the time. Sadly, after NITW, I did feel a bit underwhelmed, but that isn't a fault on the game itself.

Blue Prince
Puzzle roguelite with a whole mansion to build, room by room. I consider it beaten in the sense of me seeing the credits, but I'm not completely done with it, as a ton of stuff might not be even discovered by the time you complete the main objective. It's a great game and the hype surrounding it is legit. I did find it a bit frustrating at times when my luck really didn't want to show up, but there is always something else to do, even when your run of the day ends up being short. (But i'm still waiting for the chance to get the b room and the p room together, those two are a bitch to spawn even with the RNG on my side.)
I have to admit that I had to look up hints for 3 of the gallery puzzles, those were really tough to guess as a non native speaker.

An Arcade Full of Cats
Hidden cat game by my beloved devcats. Their love for cats is so genuine, I just love these games

Doors: Paradox
Point and click/escape room kind of game, a level is a door you have to open. Neat designs with neat puzzles!

Spilled!
You control a little boat that cleans the water. Short and cute! The art style is really good, and seeing animals returns to their environnement as you clean them is great.

20 Small Mazes
Little free game where you have to resolve 20 mazes. Pretty fun!

Animal Planner
Sliding puzzle with animals. It was a bit on the easy side but lovely anyways. The child like? art style was pretty cute!

The Story of Barker
Short point and click game. I enjoyed some of the puzzles, and the end was pretty cool!

Trash Goblin
Sim game where you play as a goblin who uncovers, cleans and sometimes upcycles trinkets to sell them. As a sim, it gets repetitive as usual, but the recurrent characters coming to your shop and the story are definitely worth it! As the game got out pretty recently, I'm pretty sure there will be more content added at some point, and I'll definitely reinstall the game to play it some more :)
